Julie and I have been friends for many years. We have followed our artistic paths independently. Every once-in-a-while we manage to get together and compare notes on being artists embracing the struggles and successes. Recently, Julie visited me in studio. She noted how although we never discussed collaboration, we intuitively did so. She was photographing her work which had been sitting in the gallery for some time. There it was. Her orange sky and my orange tray. Her blue shorelines and my blue teapot! Following that revelation I made an effort to mirror her paintings with my weaving just to see what would result. Here you have it.
